In potentially explosive classified areas, even cleaning is a risk: floor scrubbers and sweepers could in fact be a source of ignition.

To avoid representing an explosion hazard, cleaning machines must not have surfaces that overheat and must not generate sparks or electrostatic discharges. In other words: they must be ATEX-compliant.

EXCEN, in order to meet the needs of the cleaning sector, has chosen a radical approach: producing purpose-built, natively ATEX equipment, rather than modifying existing machines.
